    Don’t hate on the messenger. The realities of our financial crisis are coming to the front. Greek style austerity will hit the US before 2012. HUGE cuts across the spectrum are coming at the federal and state level. noting is sacred- Social security, defense, everything will be cut deeply. 14/18 fiscal conservatives is too few- make it 18/18.. 5:30 “tell Alan Simpson to shut up” these guys are idiots.

    @EPRVa62 there shouldn’t even be Social Security for those millionaires, they wont be relying on that $1400 check each month in order to survive.

    Stupid question maybe, but if they kill social security, how does that fix the deficit? If they end social security, does that mean they won’t take it from our paychecks anymore, because if so, that doesn’t raise any funds for the gov’t either? I guess what they are trying to do is not pay the people that have paid in, but if they continue to collect SS from us????

    How did we get like this? We talk about “those who fight for our freedom” and how great they are, but we like our money so much more to the extent where we step on anybody in our way of getting richer. I love being my fellow human beings, sigh.

    I still don’t see a candidate who can beat Obama in 2012. As an incumbent, I think he is safe (as long as there is no scandal).

    @kellygiz look at how much the republicans talked about irrelavant things, whether hes a muslims, who he knew 40 years ago, where he was born, whether he had been greatly influenced by that crazy pastor while still somehow being a muslim, the fact that he spoke some arabic, a lot of random stuff there as well

Obama won, because he LIED about being a progressive, he lied about his willingness to fight the status quo.
