What kind of small business could a teacher start that was realvant to his or her education?

Im thinking of becoming a teacher, I know that teacher salaries are steadily on the rise, but I still like the idea of owning my own business, are there any businesses that I could beign which utlize my education?

  1. SAT tutors, tutors of any kind

  2. Tutoring in your area of expertise. Private evening classes.

  3. Tutoring is a good idea, if you want an offline business.

I would also consider starting an online business. That frees up your time to work your own hours any time of day. :-)

You could build a website about teaching tips, working with behavior difficulties, controlling your class, etc.

Or, if you have a particular field of study, say Science, you could build a site about teaching Science with experiment ideas, etc.

There is almost no limit to the range of things you can do to build an online business. The best tip I have is to do choose something you really enjoy and have an interest in. That makes it more like fun than work. :-)

If this sounds like something you’d like to try (even if you don’t have any prior web knowledge), check in my profile for some free ebooks and other tips on how to get started.

I built my first site about something I enjoy – chocolate candy. I’m having a grand time and have started working on my second site.

    All the best.
