Sorry if this answer isn’t a dead ringer but it should help.
Average entry salary for accountants is about 60,000 and average entry level for finance is about 50,000 USD.
Both have potential to break 100,000 dollar salaries in various positions if you get professional certifications such as CPA for accountants or PFA for finance, and perhaps go to grad school.
Entry level jobs for finance: financial analyst.
Entry level accounting jobs: staff accountant.
Since I am an accounting major I am biased, however the reason I chose accounting was because you can get all the same certifications and jobs finance majors can, whereas finance majors cannot necessarily get an accounting job…
