What is that quote about the person to be most afraid of is the one who claims to be doing good things for you?

I can’t remember the quote. It has something do to with running the other direction from the man who claims to be doing something good for you. Can you help me out?

Thanks

  1. I’m not sure on the quote in question. Try variations of what you remember on Google maybe? You might get lucky.

But if you’d like a fallback quote with a similar gist there’s – “To choose a good enemy, choose a friend: he knows where to strike.” by Diane de Poitiers

  2. C. S. Lewis quotes something similar: “She’s the sort of woman who lives for others–you can always tell the others by their hunted expression” (1).
