What is a good quote to put in my slideshow about a friend passing?

my good friend passed away from a stroke a couple of months ago & at the end of my graduation slideshow i was going to add a part with pictures of her and all of our friends and i was going to add a quote to it as well. Oh and I’d prefer for it to not be religious.

  1. Take a lyric from “In My Life”, the Beatles song. Plus the song is used at funerals often.

  2. 1.My friend always guides me as there is none more important to him besides me!
2.Friendship is a state where there is no scope for one to hate!
3.Until now, my friend was in communication with me. From now on, he would stay in communion!
4.My friend passed away, but he has guided me till the right way!
5.My friend though mortal in body, he is immortal in spirit!

  3. To live in the hearts of those we love is never to die. (Thomas Campbell)

Death is the last chapter in time, but the first chapter in eternity.

A thousand words won’t bring you back, I know because I’ve tried; neither will a million tears, I know because I’ve cried.

Each happiness of yesterday is a memory for tomorrow.

Always on my mind; forever in my heart.

The life of the dead is placed in the heart of the living. (Cicero)

Seeing death as the end of life is like seeing the horizon as the end of the ocean.
    (David Searls)

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

There is no death, only a change of worlds. – Chief Seattle

Death is not extinguishing the light; it is only putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.
    - Rabindranath Tagore

Treasured in my heart you’ll stay, untill we meet again some day.

Forever in this heart of mine, an everlasting bond, for now until the end of time, are memories so fond.

Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed and very dear.
    - Anonymous

If tears could build a stairway, and memories a lane,
I’d walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

I thought that I would miss you so, and never find my way.
And then I heard the angel say “She’s with you every day.”
“The sun, the moon, the wind, the stars, will forever be around,
reminding you of the love you shared, and the peace she’s finally found.”

You never said I’m leaving, you never said goodbye.
You were gone before I knew it, and only God knew why.
A million times I needed you, a million times I cried.
If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.
    In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still;
In my heart you hold a place, that no one could ever fill.
It broke my heart to lose you, but you didn’t go alone.
For part of me went with you, the day God took you home.

Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, i do not sleep.
I am in a thousand winds that blow, I am the softly falling snow.
I am the gentle showers of rain, I am the fields of ripening grain.
I am in the morning hush, I am in the graceful rush.
Of beautiful birds in circling flight, I am the starshine of the night.
I am in the flowers that bloom, I am in a quiet room.
I am in the birds that sing, I am in each lovely thing.
Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there. I did not die !
