What does an investor on wall street do? What does an investor do in general?

I want to know what an investor banker does and what a typical day and life would be working on wall street. Also what is the average salary of an investor.
Would it be better to study law and become a lawyer than to become an investor? What do you have to do to become an investor?

  1. Wikipedia ‘investment banker’ to see what they do.

They work long hours, pretty stressful work environment. Make decent money $100,000+.

I’d recommend a degree in business, marketing, finance, economics, etc. Preferably a Master’s Degree. The name on your degree is also very important, so aim for an Ivy League.

Lawyers are in a slump – decrease in hiring and lower salaries. Too many people looking to get rich by being a lawyer means that there are more law grads than jobs available to them.
