What do you think of the government switching the retirement age to 70 years old?

But they keep giving themselves raises every year. Does a 1 term congressman or senator receive retirement fund for the rest of their life? And do they have to wait till they’re 65 or 70?
What’s good for the goose should be good for the gander.

  1. They didn’t change the overall retirement age. You can retire when you can afford to or when your job offers it to you under you employee pension plan.

They changed the social security benefit age….if you’re relying on social security as your retirement, you have more problems than the age at which you’ll be receiving it….

  2. Another band aide…seems like the real fix is keeping government out of using the funds for their cash cow..

  3. Considering that’s the average age of death for US citizens, I think it sucks. I think at the end of an elected officials term they should get the firing squad.
