What are your views on the economy now and in the next decade?

Is the economy getting better or are we headed for another depression? Is it easy to get a job with a college degree or good luck finding one? Etc?

  1. watch the south park episode “Margaretaville” it pretty much sums it up

  2. The economy is getting better. Slowly.
It is not easy to get a job with just a degree. It is easy if you actually know how to do something valuable and you have a degree. Remember, all a college degree says is that you probably have mastered the things your parents did in high school.
If anyone tells you that he can forecast what will happen in the next decade, run. Or laugh at him.

  3. WE WILL EAT AND DRINK FROM WATER WE GO TO THE BATHROOM IN….WHO AGREES????

  4. If anyone tells you with certainty whether or not we are going to sink back into a recession (or depression) then they are lying. As of this point it is too difficult to tell, although a depression seems very unlikely.

The economy is currently growing. . . slowly.

It is getting tougher to get the “guaranteed job” after college, partially due to the inflation of the college degree. This and the last generation have produced the largest number of college graduates in our country’s history.

You must remember that not all college degrees are the same and that some majors put you in better employment prospects than others. Typically technical and analytical majors see less fluctuations during unemployment cycles than “softer” degrees such as art, graphic design etc.

  5. Good luck finding a job. Thanks to outsourcing, everything is going overseas.

If you want a white collar job, stick to medicine. Medicine can’t be outsourced to India because it medical careers require an immediate presence.
