I would like to know about two or three stocks that are worth investing in, preferably both stable and fluctuating ones (in that there are either big gains or big losses)?
and, i would like to know a few stocks to stay away from that would not allow me to buy low and sell high.
You are asking for the Holy Grail of investment success. Fund managers spend their entire working lives trying to get the answers to those questions.
You can see that they have been no more successful than the rest of the public – us ordinary folks – who are not trained in stock research & analysis.
You may wish to look at large, well-established companies that have been around for a long time, and provide products/services essential to living – like oil/gas, consumer, food, etc.
I recommend stocks like CVX, XOM, MMM, KO, WMT, PG, JNJ, and the like. These pay steady dividends and are good long-term holdings.
Avoid speculative stocks – you can make a lot, but also lose a lot.
Three stocks worth investing in
Disney (DIS)
Pfizer PFE)
Johnson & Johnson (JNJ)
Two stocks not worth investing in
General Motors (GM)
Penny stocks.
