This is a stock Traxxas Slash running a 7c ep 4600 mah pack. Just trying some hill climbing. Pardon the shakey cam. It’s my 10 YO son doing the filming

@ Fabtec4life – Depending on what you want. But there is no maintenance and thus more power. If you lipo There are so many advantages. The batteries lose a little charge and “Punch” when sitting on the shelf. Sun, you can recharge and run a week later, they were charged fresh. Prices are coming down. You get a poison 7th 4V or 11 v for $ 50 – $ 60 now. And that does Lipo Onyx 230 for $ 80 and is an AC / DC charger.

@ Fabtec4life – I think a lot of stress can be a motor that is not always enough power to be set. If the 3000mAh pack is a lower grade pack, the engine could be starved for power. Almost like it overgearing. Outside of this, keep it out of the water, make sure there is no binding in the drivetrain (everything does turn freely when you remove the engine?). I must also say that the move to brushless fantastic in the long term.
