Do stock splits increase the number of shares of treasury stock a corporation holds?
I am doing some homework in my Intermediate Accounting class and have a problem related to stock splits that also involves treasury stock. Despite searching the textbook and online, I cannot find information on whether or not stock splits affect the number of shares of treasury stock.
I am thinking it doesn’t increase the number of shares of TS since they are not outstanding, but I figured I’d see if anyone with more knowledge can verify this.
What usually happens to a stock price when a company splits into 2 new companies & 2 new stocks?

The company is made up of 3 companies and one of the companies is being sold. One of the remaining companies will become the main stock with a new name and the stock holders will be given shares of the 3rd company based on the number of the existing shares of the old company. Basically how are stock prices determined?
