MANILA, Philippines – Local shares closed higher on Friday, with gains on Wall Street and the American depositary receipts of PLDT Thursday in New York bolstering investor sentiment, traders said. The bellwether Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) rose 0.4 percentat 4,251.64, but was just up 0.3 percent from the previous week.
