Investments left you in debt? Consider an IVA

One option for people struggling with unaffordable unsecured debts may be an IVA (Individual Voluntary Arrangement). This is a formal, legally binding debt solution designed to help you repay as much of your unsecured debt as possible, before the rest is written off.

This may sound like an ideal way out of debt, but there are downsides, and you will only be able to enter into an IVA if you can show your lenders that you really need it and that’s it the best way for you to tackle your debts. If you do qualify, though, it could be an excellent way to tackle your unsecured debts without having to go down the route of bankruptcy.

How an IVA could help

An IVA will reduce the amount you pay towards your unsecured debts each month, but you’ll still have to pay as much as you can. Your monthly payments will be based on what you can afford once your other essential costs, such as your utility bills and mortgage/rent payments, have been taken into consideration.

A typical IVA will involve making monthly payments for five years – although the repayment terms can vary. As long as you keep up with your payments you will be protected against action regarding your debts, meaning your lenders won’t be able to try and make you bankrupt.

Then, once your IVA comes to a successful conclusion, the rest of your unsecured debt will be written off.

How do I know if it’s the right option for me?

Even if you think you qualify, an IVA may not necessarily be your best option. You should always discuss your situation and your options with a debt adviser before you decide on any one approach to your debts. They’ll help you find the approach that best meets your needs.

In some cases, bankruptcy can be a better option than an IVA. It has some advantages, such as a shorter timespan (it’s usually over after a year), and it can be suitable for people who can’t commit to regular monthly payments.

Even if it turns out an IVA is right for you, remember that there will be an impact on your credit rating for six years. Also keep in mind that if you’re a homeowner, your IVA may require you to release equity from your home in the final year.

Do I have to take out a loan to Finance a car or are there other options for paying the left over cost?

Hello,

I have several questions about purchasing my first vehicle. I have been eyeing a gently used 07 Ford Fusion that is around $16,000. I plan on making a down payment of $5,000. And I have a steady job. I was wondering, do I have to take out a loan to finance a car? Is this the only way that I can pay for the remaining amount of the car after my down payment? I will be buying from a dealership, not a private lot. Also, I’m a junior in college and I have student loans. Please help me because I seriously need a car and I’m planning on purchasing in August. I will have to travel 8 hours from home and school. twice a year so it’s important for me to get a reliable car. Please help me understand what will happen as far as financing is concerned, because i have the down payment. I just need to know what are the options for paying the remaining amount of the car after the down payment.

Thanks

Biblical Literalism: Jesus Hasn’t Left the Galaxy

Complete video at: fora.tv Bishop John Shelby Spong rebukes the literal interpretation of the Bible’s three-tiered, Earth-centered universe. How do Stock options work and would I still be entitled to them If I left the company that issued them to me ?

I’ve been working with this company for 2 year and we were promissed stock options after being with the company for a year. They are in the process of drafting them now. I dont see myself staying with the company for long but I dont want to lose the opportunity to cash in on these 2 years of hard work that I put in to build the company up now that they are looking to go public or take a private placement. How do they work exactly?

Why is big business considered evil by the left but big government is considered wonderful?

Big business produces a product, creates job and creates wealth. Big government creates large inefficient agencies, gobbles up wealth, creates waste and is corrupt. Big business needs to be watched and when found corrupt the corrupt need to go to jail. Small business is just as corrupt as big business. It just doesn’t make the national news.

So why is big business demonized by the left but big government loved? Our founding fathers didn’t trust government at all so why does the left love it?

Blaqk Audio – Where Would You Like Them Left?

From Jade and Davey’s side project. Probably my favourite song from the album. Cities of Night being a close second. Lyrics: Sweetness… It’s just a matter of taste. I wish we were not misplaced. You only quote these lines, But I’ll be fine. I’ll only recite mine Until I’m gone with out a trace. It’s just a matter of time. Strip for me as I have stripped for you. We’ve got nothing to hide and we’ve got less to lose. Strip for me as I have sripped for you. I’ve got nothing to hide and less to lose. Sweetness… Could they have just a taste Of this beautiful disgrace They’d find you a criminal, delectable. They’d find me intangible, invisible Gone without a trace It’s just a matter of time. Strip for me as I have stripped for you. We’ve got nothing to hide and we’ve got less to lose. Strip for me as I have sripped for you. I’ve got nothing to hide and less to lose. It’s a lot to take but they won’t find us. It’s a lot to take I know, I know. It’s a lot to fake but pay no mind Because this is how we’re made. You know, And so… Strip for me as I have stripped for you. We’ve got nothing to hide and I’ve got less to lose. Strip for me as I have stripped for you. I’ve got nothing to hide, and less to lose. Buy the album when it drops Aug 14th!
