How Hard Is It To Make Money In The Stock Market?
Posted by admin in Finance Tuesday, 12 April 2011 23:59 7 Comments
Hi i’m new to the stock market and I don’t know much about it other than the basics. I’ve done a lot of research and i’m ready to begin investing.
I want to start out slow by only using around $80-$120. Is it reasonable to think I can double or triple my money in a month if I invest smartly? Are there any sites that give tips on certain stocks that may rise because of new products they are putting out? Thank you very much for any help you can give me.
How hard is it to get a Finance Major?
Posted by admin in Finance Tuesday, 12 April 2011 23:59 2 Comments
Right now I am a math education major and I realized that I don’t want to teach. And now I don’t know what to change my major to. I was thinking of either going into Business Finance or Accounting, but I don’t know which one is harder or requires more work/effort.
I was also wondering what kind of jobs you can get with both? I heard that with accounting you are pretty much limited to one kind of job. And with finance you have a more broad selection.

How hard is it to switch job industry from finance to software?
Posted by admin in Finance Saturday, 26 March 2011 21:09 2 Comments
I’m a recent graduate in computer science and mathematics. I took a job in the finance industry, specifically for a Hedge Fund – it is essentially a programmer job. I would love to subsequently move west to California and work for a software company (whether it be Google, Facebook etc..) and was wondering on advice on whether this is difficult given the job I took. I’ve heard it’s hard to get out of this industry – is that true? Can anyone speak of experience or refer me to anything?
I would very much appreciate this,
Thank you
How much can one beat the stock market by if they work hard?

I JUST asked this same question today. I think one of the people who answered told me that a wealthy investor will try to beat the stock market by three to five percent, so thats, over the course of the last 30 years, 10 to 12 percent. Is it possible to get more if I study stocks for a living, and am good at it????? What is the deviation from the figure i’ve just given for proffessional investors???
Best traditional business to start with hard work and little start up money?

I’m about to graduate with a degree in advertising. I will get a job for now but would like to start my own business soon. If you had to start a business today with not very much money to start with what would it be? I’ve been contemplating insurance but just don’t know.
