Can I close my bank account if there is a negative balance?

Does it depend on the bank or is there a universal procedural statute that all banks follow? I intend to pay the negative balance; I just don’t need it adding more to itself for monthly fees, etc and I have been wanting to go to another bank for awhile anyway.

What bank would be the best bank to set up a student account with?

I am a fulltime college student( no employment) who needs a good bank to deposit her student loan refund checks. I am looking for a good bank with low APR, low overdraft fees, low monthly service fees,savings and checking, and has low traveling outside of the US fees. I also don’t know if I should get a debit card or a credit card, which one would be best for me?

My girlfriend and I are planning to start a joint savings account to save up for a trip. We have all the little details figured out, such as how much each of us will contribute each month and how neither of us can withdraw money without the other’s permission. We just don’t know if it really matters which bank we choose to open this account with. We both have separate checking accounts in separate banks, so does it really matter which one we go with?

I’m not sure what bank to go to, some say Washington Mutual, but others say Bank of America. What do you recommend? Also, I don’t make that much money, but I’m in an argument between a checking and a savings account.

I have received $$$ in my PayPal account but cannot access the $$$ because I cannot verify my bank account. When I try to plug in my bank routing and account # to get verified, it goes to the screen that tells me “that account is linked to a different account and for security reasons two accounts cannot be linked to the same PayPal account” I just want the $$$.
What bank should I open a non-profit corporation account in?
Im the new treasurer for my fraternity in CSULB, I have to open a new account, we are a 501(c)(3) non profit corporation, and im pretty new to this whole bank system, so i dont know what bank would be ideal to open an account in, what type of bank account, rates or stuff i have to worry about that i dont know about, cheap is better. How to get back my share of joint bank account balance when my partner has vanished?
The joint bank account is with a Hong Kong bank and two signatures are required for withdrawals. Since my joint account partner has vanished for a long time, the funds have been frozen for years now. Anyone please advise of any procedure Hong Kong banks would allow the locatable account holder to access his/her share of the funds.
