Richard Dawkins: Science is not in the business of shedding light on moral debates, but I think it can do sometimes — the whole subject of moral philosophy, of examining moral questions in a logical way to expose inconsistencies, for example. When you’re looking at moral questions, so-called moral questions, like abortion or euthanasia, you can show that people who take a very strong absolutist line may be being inconsistent with themselves because they are taking a strong line on one thing while at the same time inconsistently not taking a similarly strong line on another. So that would be a scientific way of thinking; it’s not science per se. It’s moral philosophy, but it’s a kind of scientific way of thinking. But also I think scientific facts can illuminate moral debate. In the case of abortion again, for example, a scientist might contribute to the debate information about at what point during the development of an embryo the nervous system comes into being. And …

@ LordWhorfinX2 I do not believe, you said no value on human life. they recognize that we live only once and then it is in fact the most precious thing to them. I can not believe u said that, as if nothing theists put much less value on human life (such as human life on earth, that’s what it means to remember) as they are to a great extent with what happens in the hereafter, and put less value on this (relatively short for a theist) human life
@ LordWhorfinX2 they have a moral compass. if they didn’t people wouldnt go as far as we have destroyed each other survives. I think its cynical depressing to think differently, and says a lot about you. You can not say that without faith in God sent his son to be crucified, and Nazareth resurected that a person does any idea what is right or wrong have to be. I recommend you read the works of Martin West, and Ken Wardle for a better understanding of Homer.
@ Warriorspikes51 Some of these manuscripts to prove the authenticity of the Bible included, what exactly? As always with such claims CITE Quellen.In respect your writings are attributed to Homer, he do not have any bearing on whether it exists or whether they themselves have written. Most scientists agree that the Iliad and Odyssey have also evolved over time as part of the Greek oral tradition during the last years of the Mycenaean civilization, or during the interregnum, the built in classical Greece.

@ Warriorspikes51 Even if true, the shit in the bible, I would not be chiristian. The commands that God you are immoral in the Bible and backward (stoning your children when they disobey or converting or killing those who do not believe what you believe). I have read the Bible, and in all honesty, this is what I left the religion. By the way, has no longer hang the earth as nothing. We are up and down numberous stars planets and galaxies.

Its funny how creationists are obsessed with Dawkins as a kind of leader. He isn’t leading anyone. We have no need for a guide. The promotion of rational thought. Why do creationists always need a leader. Are you that fear and insecurity that you do not live your own life. You need structure and rules. You can be anything you trust your own person. @ Runnysmokey0304 Maybe you want to tell why the Bible has thousands of ancient manuscripts to prove it to tell than any other book in history. The closest is the writings of Homer, which contain only about 600 manuscripts. Of course, your narrow-minded bigoted attitude toward God will not allow it. You just do not know how the thought of a holy Creator of the universe with a force or power over you. You want to be your own God.
@ Runnysmokey0304 The reason Dawkins is evil, because it will help to so many people, their faith in God is not convincing, is acceptable and laudable. Dawkins is one of the leaders in front of the pack on the way to hell.
@ Runnysmokey0304 you might want to explain why the Bible many things about the universe that the scientists took hundreds or thousands of years to discover explained. For example, “the earth hangs on nothing” In space, the earth seems just about to float. Of course, if you really read the Bible and kept an open mind, you would not attack The Book.
