“Trump was right ,Ron is not electable”

If he isn’t electable it has nothing to do with whether or not he is right. It has everything to do with apathetic citizens who’ve become accustomed to an unjust and irrational state of affairs. This ‘economic Wonderland’ where we export welfare and warfare in the name of morality is doomed to fail. That’s all Ron Paul is saying and history is on his side.

  2. @jomitast I’m the same….and I’m from the UK! We need a Ron Paul here!

“When I said “state”, I meant the general concept of a political institution with a monopoly on the legitimate use of violence…Maybe I’m reading too much into one speech, but still, I’ve never heard Ron Paul say anything quite like this before.”

I see. From what I know of Ron Paul, I’d say that he subscribes more to the work of Aristotle in that the State is inherent to the nature of men and his speech is merely highlighting the Federal government’s nationalist usurpations.

  5. Go ahead and withdraw your troops around the world ,stop foreign aid, close all of your embassies.I wonder how USA would prosper with such a policy.Ron paul tells the amount of money given to Egypt but doesn’t tell you how much money USA is getting from Egypt for planes ,military equipments ..ect
Trump was right ,Ron is not electable

  6. @SweetaliciousArt No you are wrong, Paul is not a loser, just wrong about history, economics and political reality.

  7. As a UK citizen studying American Politics and Economics, Ron Paul has stood out to me. His ideas are legitimate and very refreshing. I hope for the US’ sake that he runs in 2012 and that “the average american voter” takes the time to listen and think about his policies instead of just voting for the candidate that is the most media “savvy”. Ron Paul 2012!

  8. End the Fed! End the Obamination! End worthless fiat currency!

Renew Liberty! Vote for Ron Paul! Mint gold and silver currency!

Without Ron Paul’s leadeship, America is doomed.

  9. @TheFreebourne (cont’d) Paul’s rhetoric here is more radical than most people realize. It goes beyond localized control, beyond limited-government constitutionalism, and into something entirely different. Maybe I’m reading too much into one speech, but still, I’ve never heard Ron Paul say anything quite like this before.

  10. @TheFreebourne I think you misunderstood my comment. When I said “state”, I meant the general concept of a political institution with a monopoly on the legitimate use of violence. (Next time I’ll use a capital S). I wasn’t referring to the federated states that make up the US, like Virginia, Illinois, etc.

Paul’s rhetoric here condemns the general concept of a State. For example, if taxation is always theft, then NO level of government (no matter how local) can rightly impose a tax. (cont’d…)

  11. Fuck… speak the truth!

  12. @jomitast Every time I watch Ron Paul, I spend the whole day reading Ron Paul articles, watching news clips, and supporter blogs. It is an event.

  13. If you are a Ron Paul supporter please forward this speech to all your friends, spread the wisdom.

    Ron Paul 2012 !

  14. @lizardgizard2002 What a loser.

  15. RON PAUL 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. @kananda08

    Ah, my apologies then.

In the 2008 election, Ron Paul supporters held a “money bomb” on the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party.

After the election, in 2009, Ron Paul supporters held the first “tea party” protests across the country.

Palin saw the popularity they had, and declared herself “new leader” of the tea parties.

Now all the wanna-be conservatives have jumped on board.

    This is how they operate.

There were never supposed to be leaders in the tea party.

  17. Wow, Ron Paul is getting to be a way better speaker. He used to be pretty boring (unless you listened to his ideas), but now I think he can actually lead the country into the future. I didn’t think enough people would get behind him, but he seems to have taken a shining to the spotlight faster than I expected. If he gets a little better, there’s no stopping him.

    Ron Paul 2012!

“A state limited in such a way is not really a state at all. This puts Ron Paul (in this speech, anyway) pretty close to the libertarian anarchist camp”

No, it means that states have constitutions to follow just as the federal government has a Constitution. This is another layer of defense for citizens who believe in limited government and is not anti-state. This is another mechanism that, when followed, keeps nationalist movements in check and promotes more localized control.

  19. Ron Paul for President or bust !!!

  20. @bigtruckseriesreview Get your HEAD CHECKED ASAP! DUMB FUCK

  21. @nomed187 Lol… Wasn’t Bill Gates born in 1955 ?

  22. @TennesseeReb1862 Did you miss the part where he said “government shouldn’t be able to do anything you can’t do”? You and I can’t impose taxes, or force others to buy things from us. That means the state shouldn’t be able to do those things either, which undermines its whole monopoly on force. A state limited in such a way is not really a state at all. This puts Ron Paul (in this speech, anyway) pretty close to the libertarian anarchist camp: not just pro-limited-government, but anti-state.

  23. @nomed187 “on money creation.. don’t lecture Paul – he has been on the subject since the 70′s, maybe sooner.”
Jct: With all sorts of new currency softwares Ron Paul doesn’t seem to know about, I should be able to lecture him to practice what he preaches. Then again, he preaches “looking at” the problem with an audit, not “fixing” the problem by setting up a working model. So, as a politician for >30 years who does push fixing, I think I’ve earned the right to lecture those who do not.

  24. @jackerlol1 Paul must be so proud to have such a foul mouthed nut case as a cult member. Your mother must be so proud of you.

  25. @rckn4ever Usually Paul cult members can put at least two words together. I see that you can’t. Try harder.
