Cenk Uygur (host of The Young Turks) on his weekly Daily Rant segment on the Dylan Ratigan show on MSNBC shares new poll results showing Americans are progressive on several key issues. Read Cenk’s blog on this topic here: www.huffingtonpost.com
Neoconservatives ARE liberal.
@aSingleDallasGuy BTW: Look up another conflict prior to the Revolutionary War. The Stamp Act. It stated that nothing could be printed on paper that wasn’t stamped as having been provided by England. Especially official documents. This was an attempt to recover the cost of the French and Indian War and the paper could only be purchased in English Currency, not American currency.
@aSingleDallasGuy This is what is really funny. You actually believe the United States broke away from England because they hated taxes. You hate paying taxes, therefore they were just like you. Well do tell Mr. History Expert, why didn’t they ban taxes in the Constitution? Hmmmm?
“What an English King has no right to demand, an English subject has a right to refuse”
John Hampton – 1595 – 1643 Parliamentarian as opposed to Royalist during English Civil War.
FYI: Parliamentarians won.
@SpitfireOFatj … “They weren’t anti-tax on general principle”. No they loved paying taxes like liberals love to spend other people’s taxes. The idea that you are tring to push that taxes had NOTHING to do with the Revolutionary war just defies the facts. The colonist who dressed up as indians were everyday people. They wern’t trying to to push some higher noble cause. They were getting taxed on a product that was in their blood and told George to stuff it! Get it? Damn dumbass liberals!
@aSingleDallasGuy Listen up. The Colonists were British Citizens but they weren’t represented either in their local legislature or in the British Parliament by people of their own choosing and this was unconstitutional under the BRITISH constitution. They were represented by people who voted on the behalf of what was best for the monarchy and a monopoly company. They weren’t anti-tax on general principle, they were against paying what amounted to a tribute to a dictatorship that ruled by force.
@SpitfireOFatj ….. You sound like those idiots who also claim that the civil war was not about slavery but state rights. It’s the chicken or the egg arguement. If there was no slavery there would of been no civil war, period. The same with taxes. It was the tax issue that spurred the war. Yes, taxation without representation was the montra of it. But it was still taxes that ignited it. So, you can play nuance games all you want. You are an idiot liberal, so I typed slower this time for you.
@aSingleDallasGuy There you go again, showing your ignorance about the reasons for the Revolution. Did you ever bother to read the Declaration? Or even google the whole “Representation” thing? How about the whole “Loyalist” thing? Did that ever occur to you?
The Founding Fathers rejected being a subject under a sovereign. They denied political power had to be linked to religion. They believed government had a responsibility to it’s citizens and not the other way around.
@SpitfireOFatj … Where is the quote in which I said this? You quote me on everything else. I simply pointed out when you said conservatives would of supported the British rule that the Boston tea party which played a major role in igniting the war was about a tax revolt. Liberals never revolt against any tax for any reason. I never said that it was the sole reason for the war. I educated you on the retarded notion you have that the founding fathers were liberals. Dance monkey boy! LOL
@aSingleDallasGuy “Tell me one item I said that is not true?”
Easy, You believe the Revolutionary War was a tax revolt.
@SpitfireOFatj … Bluff my way? Tell me one item I said that is not true? You see, here we go again. You live in a life full of lies and so now you are unable to recognize the truth. Your pathological lying which I’m sure goes well beyond your politics has made you incapable of recognizing anything that doesn’t fit in your make believe world. You think the founding fathers where a bunch of liberals? LOL Good God! Did you even graduate high school? You have to be the dumbest person ever!
wouldn’t all problems related to this be solved if there was no monetary system?
sure you think that people would have to drive to do things if there was no money, but humans adapt, and the world would progress because of our urge to discover.
The current money system must be abolished if there is to be world peace.
@aSingleDallasGuy “Since there was a British appointed governor of Massachusetts and other states, then I’m sure the British would of concluded that they were in fact represented. Thus your arguement fails the logic test as usual. ”
LOL!!! You have NO clue what structure they had back then! This is really funny to see you try to bluff your way through it while still maintaining your totally undeserved superiority. I’m not even going to give you a clue either. Do some lurnin’.

@SpitfireOFatj … No they were liberal drones like you. They would of loved being taxed. It’s just that representation thing that disturbed them right? Since there was a British appointed governor of Massachusetts and other states, then I’m sure the British would of concluded that they were in fact represented. Thus your arguement fails the logic test as usual. You remind me of the old soviet union in how they doctored their history books so that all great things where done by Russians.
@aSingleDallasGuy I kinda put caps on the important bit, you idiot.
They weren’t “anti-tax” per se, they resented that they didn’t have a voice in return.
When you pay taxes, you should be able to bitch about shit.
Got it? Or do I need to simplify it more for your pea brain?
@SpitfireOFatj … Again you prove my point. Whatever you say the exact opposite is the truth. It wasn’t about taxes? then you say taxation without representation. LOL You are entertaining for sure! Much like watching a monkey dance. Your brain is wired in mysterious ways. Here we have a liberal who clearly hates this country trying to wrap himself aount our very conservative founders who by today’s standard he’d normally call right wing nuts. Oh this is entertaining! Dance monkey boy! LOL
@aSingleDallasGuy The Boston Tea Party wasn’t about being taxed, it was about being taxed by people that were outside of their power to elect. “Taxation WITHOUT REPRESENTATION” ring a bell? Also the East India Trade Company had become a monopoly. The protest was also about corporate power corrupting government.
The actual Reasons for the Revolutionary War are outlined in the Declaration. Try reading it some time. It talks about what you guys like to do to “terrorists”.
@SpitfireOFatj …. You just can’t stop being a lyer can you? Everything you say is intellectually wrong. Pretty much whatever you say the exact opposite is the real truth. By your logic it would be liberalism who would adore British govt rule. More taxes? You betcha, liberals would rub one out over the thought. Yes, taxes on tea, what’s wong with that? it’s only fair right? Those rich Bostonians deserve to pay more taxes. Yes, British govt rule would be a liberal dream come true,
@aSingleDallasGuy “But the reality is conservatism is far closer to our founding.”
No. The Conservatives of your time were the ones who sided with the British. They were the Godly types who were all about “King and Country” and ratted out their neighbors who were in the Resistance on the promise of being given land and title. You guys are SO easy to bribe.
@SpitfireOFatj … So you have amnesia whenever there is a liberal nut that goes nuts about a conservative thing? of course, in your world those are justified right? It’s liberals who are far worse on this topic than conservatives. Whena liberal complains about Bush he is a patriot. When a conservative complains about Obama he is a Nazi loving racist right? It would seem the liberal media plays this song too. But the reality is conservatism is far closer to our founding.
@aSingleDallasGuy” “LOL.. “Another” attack? Still can’t accept that nut in Arizone was a Bush hating liberal?”
He wasn’t, but I was referring to all the OTHER attacks. I particularly like the example of the rich White Supremacist in Maine that was so upset over Obama being elected that he was building a radioactive dirty bomb in his basement. That guy’s own WIFE stopped him by shooting him dead before he could carry out his plan.
There WILL be more attacks because you guys are INSANE.
@SpitfireOFatj … LOL.. “Another” attack? Still can’t accept that nut in Arizone was a Bush hating liberal? But I will sound like a broken record to simply state it’s just another liberal lie. Conservatives are an enemy of freedom? You are definitely a liberal kook. It’s liberalism that hates freedom. You have to sick your govt to regulate everything and steal people’s money and call it taxes and fair. Liberalism is all about govt controlling your life. You have no idea what freedom is bub!
Watch My Video =D
Ah it doens’t really seem to matter how you vote really because while they are campaigning they tell the PEOPLE what they need to hear and as soon as they get into office we see who bought who and how much money was shoved into their pockets. The government hasn’t been representing the PEOPLE as much in the past decades as they represent THEMSELVES and BANKERS and CORPORATIONS and all the money they can stuff in their pockets.
@aSingleDallasGuy Conservatives are not only an enemy of freedom, they’re a national security risk. It’s only a matter of time before there’s another attack which will again be called an isolated incident.
For some, the election of Obama was a shining moment of how far we’ve come and was the ultimate symbol of the 21st century.
For others it was their worse nightmare from the 1950′s watching bunch of Commie Ni**ars and Jews take over the White House. That would be the folks on YOUR side buddy.
@SpitfireOFatj … Your problem is you think conservatives are your enemy. No, your enemy is the truth. Your goal is to hide it, mask it, deflect it, deny it. But mostly it is to convince those to not believe their own eyes. Liberals essentially want what other people have. That’s the basis of it. Why work when you can sick your govt on those who do? Why earn a paycheck when your govt can rob others legally and hand some over to you? Yes, it’s the liberal shell game where truth is the enemy.
