mansfield park 2007 full movie part 3

At age 10, Fanny Price is sent by her destitute mother to live with her aunt and uncle, Sir Thomas and Lady Bertram. As a child she was often made to feel that she was the poor relation but by the time she reaches 18, and in the absence of her uncle who leaves on a business trip for an extended period, she begins to enjoy herself. When Henry Crawford and his sister Mary become neighbors to the Bertrams, opportunities abound. Edmond Bertram falls in love with Mary but she wants to marry a man with money, not someone destined to life as a clergyman. Meanwhile, Fanny’s love for her cousin Edmond prevents her from accepting Mr. Crawford’s proposal of marriage. ***I do not own any copyrights***

  1. hahahahahhahhahahah worst and sloppiest kiss ever

  2. Why can’t Fanny’s hair be pulled up? The Aunt I’m assuming…is terrible to Fanny blaming her for what transpired between Maria and Henry.

  3. Fanny’s hair though, is quite modern, but if you remember in “Sense and Sensibility (Emma Thompson & Kate Winslet version),” because the Dashwoods are on the poor side, their hair was down or in a “messy bun/ponytail” formation quite often. As Fanny is the poor relation, I understand the direction taken in the subject of Miss Price’s hair. It is reflective of other Jane Austen adaptations.

  4. i’m trying to decide if i would really understand what was going on here if i hadn’t read the book. they take liberties, but not horrible ones.

  5. the father is just horrible… man a lot of these characters are annoying.

  6. Fanny’s Aunt, not Lady Bertram but the other Aunt, is getting on my last nerves. If it were possible, I would have jumped through my computer screen and smacked her right across her pompous face!

  7. Oh my God, such a poor interpretation! Please, save your time and watch 1999 Mansfiels park, it’s million times better!!!!!!!!!

  8. fanny looks too tarty…urrrghhh

  9. I agree with you. The rest of the cast was very good and faitful to the period.

  10. yeah.
    i quite like edmund though

  11. Why was there a problem with the copy right only for part 4? is it because they are talking about slavery in that part?

  12. I can’t understand why no one was bother by Billie Piper’s VERY MODERN HAIR style and look.
She would probable fit better in “Lost in Austen” where she could look like this without being a distraction in watching the movie.
Through out all the movie I felt like she just step back in time 200 years and NOT like she was “part of that time”.
Billie Parker was a bad choice for Fanny.

  13. you just can`t see Billie Piper acting so lady-like after seeing her as a whore… she`s terrible!

  14. For those not aware, the Mrs. Norris character in Harry Potter (Filch’s Cat), is named after Fanny’s Aunt Norris. A most horrible woman.

  15. I’ve sort of found part 4. For some reason it’s been removed because of channel 4 copyright.

  16. Um is it just me cuz I can’t find part 4. Cab any1 help?

  17. honestly, I think this one was done a lot better than the 99 version.
Normally I hate the newer ones but the 99 version was NOTHING like the book.

  18. An official BBC Austen nerd :)

  19. I think this makes me an official Austen NERD, but…
Edmund from Mansfield Park (1999) was Jonny Lee Miller who plays Knightly in the new 2009 BBC adaptation of Emma (Amazing). Blake Ritson who plays Edmund in this Mansfield Park (2007) also stars in the new Emma as Mr Elton. It’s a small Austen world…. Love it!! Thanks for posting!

  20. I don’t like how they’ve made it blatantly obvious that Fanny is in love with Edmund. I like the 1999 version for that reason!
But I love new, updated film versions of Jane Austen novels!

  21. I agree so far the 1995 version is better, more interesting and better actors. I live the characters more in that version.

  22. @nani1591 Actually Fanny’s oldest aunt is Lady Bertram, the middle sister was Mrs. Norris (the bitch) and the youngest was Fanny’s mother.

  23. I LOVE the 1999 version… this is just…. lame

  24. why do people focus so much on the ages of the actors? I thought the ability to embody the character was more important.

  25. grr fanny’s oldest aunt is mean old hag!!!!
