www.thundermistfishingtips.com Here at Thundermist Lure Company, we’ve been asked several times “How do I spool line onto my reel properly?”, and “How can I avoid fishing line twist”. So we’ve put together a short 4-minute video with 4 key tips on how to spool line onto your reel and preventing line twist while you’re at it.
@philgn Sounds like you had a great trout fishing trip and we are glad you enjoyed our video.
Thanks for taking time to write to us and until next time, good luck and good fishing!
Just came back from a trout fishing trip. Caught lots of fish, but had trouble with line tangle. I usually take the time to look up videos such as yours to make sure I do things properly, but did not this time…and ended up loading the reel with a pencil in the middle of the line, exactly the way you said not to do it, and had a lot of trouble with line tangle. I will be sure to follow your lead next time. Great video

this video was very helpful.. it helped to make sure you don’t have the normal tangling in the lines while fishing and if you pay attention you won’t have the down time of fixing your reel

@tavon56 Actually, the tag end does not go through the loop – it’s on the outside of the loop and when the loop goes around your spool & you tighten it – it actaully stops at the tag end.
Thansk for writing in & good fishing.
so do you put the tagged end through the loop or the line thats still on the spool
@PRinlineskater A decent reel for the money is a Salt striker reel, from Cabelas.
if you catch a tarpon, go ahead & try to land it, – just make sure your drag is set light enough to allow him to run, but yet not break your rod.
Thanks for writing in & good luck on the water!

Having the right fly rod for the right conditions is also very important. You need to take into account what kind of fish you will be fishing for….
When choosing what type of fly and lure to use, consider what type of fish you will be fishing for and what type of rod you will be using. You can choose from dry flies, which float; wet flies, which lie below the surface; nymphs, which resemble aquati…
Nevertheless this is a lot of information to be able to decide what to use in specific predicaments, the actual rods i personally use are probably much less great for instance the kinds talked about in this article regarding they may be much better developed however the reels are generally much better for the reason that that they are right from unquestionably the 1970′s when companies produced items that will survive. Definitely most of these fishing rods tend to be much more responsive yet Simply put i am not really overly certain pertaining to the particular stability aspect,Let me check back here to get more information and facts later on. kudos
