How to get an investor for my company?

I need to find someone to invest some money into my company.I’ve been in business for almost a year now. I own a body jewelry company, but I sponsor bands also to get some extra exposure too. Any ideas other than going to the SBA?
This is always a difficult thing. It really depends upon how much money you need. If it’s only a few thousand dollars, the best way is usually family and friends. Most serious investors won’t bother with less than about $100,000.
If you need that much, an investor will expect to see a very detailed business plan.
