I want to write a definition from a website and it has no author listed. How do I quote it in my paper?
Cite the website instead.
suppose its from http://www.letsstarthomework.com
The ‘Lets Start Homework Website ‘supposes that, “all children must learn how to do homework correctly.”
I would highly suggest going to easybib.com to get your bibliography, and site that website in your paper, other wise you can just put the quote in quotation marks. Follow the instructions at easybib.com and then you are not stealing anyones work. Otherwise, just reword the definition and you can still put it in your paper.
Is it a formal paper? If so, check how the manuscript guidelines say to cite a website. (MLA or APA each has its own way of citing websites. Check out a university writing lab website for guidelines. (OWL by Purdue University is the best I’ve found)
