How can we produce more business for our company?

I am working for a cleaning company. My mother-in-law owns it. But business is a little bit slow these days, as I suppose it is with pretty much everyone’s.
What are some creative ideas on how to create more customers? We do house cleaning and sometimes clean commercial properties.
Do we need to use advertisements? Do I need to get dressed up professionally looking and go out physically and visit businesses to see if I can close any sales or find prospects? Should we do telemarketing?

Maybe you should hire a sales rep.
You could speak to real estate agents in your area. They usually need houses cleaned.

If money is scare..and let’s face it…you need cheap advertising…some ways of doing this
Community booklets…pay a yearly fee, and a small fee for an ad…this is very cheap …$25.OO for membership, $ 50.00 fo an ad.
Flyer’s: Make up a ton, and do some walking!
Food Stores These usually have a window or wall…place a copy of your flyer.
Ask for word of mouth from the customers you already have…
Come up with a snazzy name…Hire a Husband (this is my son’s..he put through 4 million last year…) People love the name!
