BURN DOWN THE MISSION Elton John Tumbleweed Connection (1970) You tell me there’s an angel in your tree. Did he say he’d come to call on me? For things are getting desperate in our home, Living in the parish of the restless folks I know. Everybody now, bring your family down to the riverside. Look to the east to see where the fat stock hide. Behind four walls of stone the rich man sleeps. It’s time we put the flame torch to their keep. Burn down the mission, If we’re gonna stay alive. Watch the black smoke fly to heaven, See the red flame light the sky. Burn down the mission, Burn it down to stay alive. It’s our only chance of living, Take all you need to live inside. Deep in the woods the squirrels are out today. My wife cried when they came to take me away. But what more could I do just to keep her warm, Than burn burn burn burn down the mission walls? Everybody now, bring your family down to the riverside. Look to the east to see where the fat stock hide. Behind four walls of stone the rich man sleeps. It’s time we put the flame torch to their keep. Burn down the mission, If we’re gonna stay alive. Watch the black smoke fly to heaven, See the red flame light the sky. Burn down the mission, Burn it down to stay alive. It’s our only chance of living, Take all you need to live inside.

@ MegaBabeTV Well said
Agree with Mygrass on this issue. This path f? Leads second to My Fathers Gun on my list of top drawer numbers.
I love Bernie
I also agree that Elton John is one of the best pianists of modern times. He does not just play chords. Check out, for example, some of his extended solo piano work in “Ephasus” concert clips. Also, he plays chords, he does a unique and unpredictable things. In “Someone Saved My Life Tonight,” the tonal centr of the song is not easy to say, because he used Slash chords and other unforeseen things entirely? Over the place. Check out the wide body of his work, and then see what you think.
LOL.Ich am the gr? Te fan of EJ. . but “Best Pianist”. . . . EJ plays chords. . . . Oscar Peterson. . Well, the man is a pianist. . . . EJ but we all together. . . . brilliant.
I like him because he has some really big glasses tr e? Gt

Love this and all music on Tumbleweed Connection! He really rocked in concert with this song. His H nde? Are magic to this great game. The best pianist berhaupt?, In my generation. Billy Joel can not hold a candle to him.
