~~~ Please Read!!!!! ~~~ I’ve noticed some argument’s going on about Rick’s drumming. The sounds are triggered when he hits the pedal’s, so he is playing himself. It’s not like he’s pretending to play. It’s him of course. Please can we stop this agrument and get back to enjoying one of the best drummer’s in the world! =D To Quote RASPUTINREDRUMS123′s comment — It is always awesome skill to naturally blend prerecorded sound and own drum performance and it is also a very hard task. Rick Allen is perfecting this Art every day and successfully. R’N'R FOREVER, RICK!

How could anyone say or think Rick is not drumming? Obviuosly, if you watch this video it’s easy to see he is drumming!
This man over-came what would have been a horrible, career ending injury for most people. Yet, he had the talent, the drive, the support, and of couse the rythm to rise to the top!

I think he’s is one of the worlds best just because he plays with one freaking arm. It’s not like just basically getting the habit of leg independence, but it would feel so unbalanced playing with one arm.
Fucking incredible, Rick puts out some of the most amazing drum beats ive heard.

He has acoustic drums and a bank of pedals which do the same “triggered” drums as his hand can hit!

I’m just curious, does he compensate for rudiments with one hand?
I mean, can he do the one-handed roll or anything like that?

i love Rick. hes absolutely brilliant! i think he has an oppurtunity that people with both arms dont– he plays with all of his limbs, allowing him to feel what he’s playing more. its probably a very nice feeling being able to make music with your whole body
