  1. Schiff is the Man!

  2. lessee… Schiff, Rand Paul, Al Franken… we’re getting there!

  3. @soundzero Yes!!! I’d rather have Schiff as the president and paul as the VP. Talk about shaking up the “business as usual” way of doing things in Washington. Too bad the American voters wouldn’t be smart enough to vote for these two since they would sacrifice poll numbers to restore our economy back to where we should be. Basically, American’s focus more on the immediate and personal side of Economics instead of the long term and group aspect of it. In other words, it’s “I” instead of”we”

  4. Peter needs to give details on shows like this Larry set him up. He sounds like he just hates government, true, but need to pull some people in. Its CNBC talk about repealing SarBox or transparency of the Fed.

  5. You are correct. He is just seeking power and will not change anything. Schiff is indeed, lying about changing washington.

  6. Ron Paul and Peter Schiff 2012!!!!!!!!

  7. That’s not why I think he should not get paid. He should not get paid because the money he would receive will have been stolen from hard working people. Taxation is theft, theft is immoral.

  8. @escapethecollapse

I understand what you mean, but it isn’t rational to think that just because someone has “money” he shouldn’t be paid for a job performed.

  9. Sounds like he’s just stating the policy we currently enact. That’s a large leap from endorsement. He doesn’t actually believe that’s how our foreign policy should operate so no, far from neocon.

  10. Interesting. It seems as though Kudlow has some contempt for Schiff. I don’t know what Larry is denying…he is always bullish on the economy (and was, just like everyone else, before the financial crisis came to its fruition). Hell, he still talks about King Dollar, and utilizes any figures he can to “show” that the economy is headed for growth.

  11. Here’s a recent quote from Schiffty:

“We tell the Iranians: This is where we think those weapons are, you need to let our inspectors in there. If they dont let us in, just blow the place up.

Sounds alot like Dick Cheney and Bill Kristol to me. How ’bout you?

  12. how is he a neocon again??

  13. Schiffty Pete the Neocon.

  14. @kosai19 Schiff has plenty and doesn’t need to take money stolen from people to support himself.

  15. @escapethecollapse
In the real world people need money.

  16. I will have more respect for Schiff if he doesn’t take a salary as senator.

  17. And to reduce, he will need to introduce. I just think this makes him look evasive, and I don’t think that will be good for his campaign. I could be wrong.

  18. Exactly. I’m not sure how Kudlow or anyone could have difficulty distinguishing Schiff from other republicans/politicians. The guy is always right about the economy, no matter how many assclowns laugh at him. And you just know if he gets to Washington, he will certainly bitchslap the opposition until they finally bow down to the Austrian school of economics.

  19. Spideynw. Peter’s not about introducing – he’s about reducing and that’s what he’s talking about all through this interview. I know it’s not your typical political speech like you’re use to hearing:

“we’re going to do this and that and pay for everything but the kitchen sink in order to fix this thing that we don’t know anything about.”

He’s saying we need to stop all interference with the market. Not just one thing – it’s all the interference and any reducing is a good start.

  20. There is not a man in this world that talks with more sense then Peter Schiff – I can’t wait until Americans come to their senses and give this guy an opportunity to make change.

  21. Is it me or is Host giving Peter a hard time? Also, I would love to debate anyone who is really thinking of voting for other candidates?

On a side note, what is the possibility of another candidate actually winning?

  22. That’s it!! I’m unsubbing to Decarolis’ channel. These watermarks are rude and disconcerting!!!

  23. i have heard some of the same things from the other candidates but i don’t think they really have a plan to bring jobs back to the private sector. The biggest obstacle for Peter now, is if the other candidates start saying more of the things Peter says, then it will be MUCH harder to distinguish himself among them. But if he sticks to his guns he should come out on top. we all know he’s the most qualified person to send to washington, but most of the voters in CT have probably never heard of him

  24. Some tough love from Kudlow. I think he really want to see Peter succeed and is giving him a hard time now so he can be a stronger candidate in the future.

  25. Democrats controlled the Senate for almost half of Bush’s presidency.
GOP shared much power with Dems from Jan – June ’01*
Dems controlled Senate from June ’01 to Jan ’03.
Dems controlled senate from Jan ’07 to Jan ’09.

REPUBLICAN BIPARTISANSHIP in SHARING control of the Senate panels and money, can be seen in the NY Times article from Jan 6, ’01

“SENATE TO DIVIDE POWER AND MONEY EQUALLY IN PANELS”
